02 Apr Three Common Parenting Mistakes
Last week, we began the spring semester with an overview discussion focused on which parenting strategies we value and plan to (or already) implement in our homes. This week, the TLC Parent Topic will be more specific and supportive around parenting young children. We will be introduced to three common mistakes parents often make, and of course, offered suggestions what to do instead.
These are common practices that are pretty “old school” and are not going to nurture the relationship you want or the cooperation you need from your child.
We will be addressing the following three common parenting mistakes: 1. Showering our children with too much praise 2. The use of Time Outs 3. Consequences when Punishing. Please click HERE to review the following blog post created by the well-known parent coach, Melissa at Childproof Parenting.
