Thankfully, research has shown that parents are much more concerned that their children grow up to be “kind, compassionate and helpful” compared to being successful in life.  If caring is the top priority for parents- not achievement- what can we do to raise children whom care for others?  In preparation for our Weekly Parenting Topic, please read the fascinating New York Times article on Raising a Moral Child.   You may be quite surprised- is it really more helpful to praise a child’s actions over praising the child directly?
